KCD's entire Cabinet/Closet Software Suite is available for rent or purchase to own through the company's website.
KCD Software is offering its entire Cabinet/Closet Software Suite to cabinetmakers as a rental program with the option to purchase at any time.
Cabinet/Closet Designer can be rented at one monthly price, beginning at $95 per month. Other applications, like Pricer or Builder, can be added with a one-time fee rental. Rental can be done on an "as-needed" basis with the option to purchase or stop use at any time, according to KCD. For those that choose to purchase after renting, a portion of the paid rental amount will be applied to the purchase price. Each full-version rental includes free technical support and customer service, KCD says.
Latest features include the Custom Library Creator, which allows designers to save whole components like shelving units, islands and even whole kitchens right into their menu for “dropping in” and modifying at a later date. Being able to get into a design and build program without making a large investment creates an economical option for shops to have efficiencies by streamlining their design, pricing, cut listing, and machining capabilities. To prepare standard or custom contracts, proposals and estimates quickly, the user can add Pricer to the Designer rental for a one-time fee. To avoid construction errors, users can go directly from design measurements to cutlist by adding cut listing to the Designer rental. Also, combine the features of Cabinet/Closet Designer, Pricer and Builder into one program for a one-time fee. Customize additional components of the monthly rental and go directly into manufacturing and building with CNC Linker or CNC Commander’s One-Button Machining for a one-time fee and additional monthly rental charge.
